2026 Esoteric acupuncture workshops, retreats and gathering festival
This year I will be teaching in the Spring: Foundations in March and April, and Advanced in May.
The March EA Foundations Workshop will be the East Coast class, a workshop held in the event space next to my office in Saluda, NC…outside of Asheville. Dates: Meeting on Zoom for 4 hours (recorded) March 15th, and then March 21-22 in person. It is a 3 day class with 21 PDAs.
The last week of April into the first weekend of May will be a very special week of classes and events held at Tubac Ranch/Historic Kenyon Guest Ranch, outside of Tucson, AZ. I have wanted to return to retreat-style teaching for a couple years now and have been searching for the right place, and think I may have found a true gathering place for all of us.
The EA Foundations Retreat will be held April 28 – May 1st which is Tuesday late afternoon through Friday morning, with the option to stay one more night for the EA Gathering Festival. It will also be meeting over Zoom for 4 hours (recorded) the week before class.
The Advanced EA Retreat will be held May 1st through 4th, which is Friday late afternoon through Monday morning, with the option to arrive the night before for the EA Gathering Festival. It will also be meeting over Zoom for 4 hours (recorded) the week before class.
And best of all, the day in between the Foundations and Advanced classes at the ranch, will be the EA Gathering Festival on Friday May 1st. A day to play! The tentative itinerary includes doing energy work around the horses, a live Zoom video talk with Dr. Mikio Sankey, practicing Egyptian Esoteric Acupuncture with one another, a drum circle, fire circle and more. The wonderful sauna will be available, as well as the pool, hot tubs, hiking trails, and trail rides. And note: ALL EA practitioners (and their partners) who want to come and relax and soak in the energy with one another, without taking any of the classes, are welcome to stay at the Ranch from Thursday evening until Sunday. Planned activities will only be on Friday as I’ll be teaching Advanced after that. For those not taking the Advanced class but staying at the ranch that weekend, you will get to enjoy the amenities of the ranch, book a trail ride, and even swap treatments with other practitioners not in class, as well as share meals and join meditations with us.

2026 esoteric acupuncture festival gathering
When: 4/30 – 5/2 with May 1st as the Play Day
Where: Tubac Ranch/Historic Kenyon Guest Ranch
Who: Everyone who is part of the EA family is welcome to stay at the Ranch for the weekend even if you’re not taking classes. Also, those already on the land to attend class this week are invited to extend their stay for 1 day to be a part of the Play Day.
What: Time for the EA Family to Relax & Play Together
Cost: FREE for everyone who is taking a class this week and wants to extend their stay by a night (and this includes your partner, too, if they’re staying with you). For those not attending classes but wanting to attend the Festival Gathering weekend only: $125 paid to the Ranch to help cover costs to host this.
Tentative Schedule for Friday May 1st
This is a free flow festival. Take part in whatever calls to you. And reach out if there’s something you want to offer. The sauna house, hot tub and pools will be available all day. Feel free to hike and walk. Trail rides can be booked.
Breakfast
9 am: 3-6-1 Antahkarana Meditation at a special power spot on the land, a point of stillness
10 am: Energy Work with Horses at the corral – many options here – meditation, reiki, and even setting up a table and working on each other with the Selenite Swords of Light in the presence of these great beings.
Lunch
1 or 2 pm: Live Video Chat with Dr. Mikio Sankey. Please submit any questions or topics you’d like to have him talk about.

Fire circle into night, possible fireside chat with a local historian
For those attending the Gathering only and not attending classes, you are free to enjoy the ranch amenities, horses and land on your own Saturday and Sunday. You are invited to share meals, meditations and fire circle with the Advanced class. There will be a space and table set up for you to exchange treatments on your own.

For the East Coast NC Workshop: closest airport is Asheville – AVL; some choose Greenville, SC (1 hr away) and Charlotte, NC airport (2 hours away) depending on where they’re coming from and rent a car.
To get to Saluda: it would be easy to catch a Lyft or Uber at the AVL airport, but not so easy to catch one back. If there’s a need, I could coordinate a ride back somehow.
For the Arizona Retreats:
Closest airport is Tucson, AZ – TUS
Tubac Ranch offers airport shuttles for $40 each way
Seirin needles will be provided for acupuncturists. Practitioners can bring their own if there is another brand of needle they prefer.
Handouts will be provided – of the lecture powerpoint and all patterns that we learn. No need to purchase a book or study beforehand unless you want to. Books will be available for sale – please inquire if you’d like to reserve a copy at a discount.
*If you would like to bring other tools to work with for when you give treatments, please do – like crystals, selenite wands, tuning forks, essential oils.
*We will work with pendulums, for those who aren’t seers, for scanning the body. You may bring your own, or borrow one, or purchase one.
*Please bring 2 sheets for a massage table (1 to cover the table, 1 for draping), and a face cradle cover if you’d like (disposable ones will be provided). This will be your set for when you’re receiving a treatment.
*Please bring a Water Bottle and hot drink lidded mug
Flashlight or headlamp for at night
Bathing suit if you’ll go swimming
Outdoor shoes if you’ll go hiking or trail-riding.
This time of year, the weather is typically in 80s with lows in 40-50s, dry, sunny, nice breeze. Whatever you would need for the elements – layers, lotion and oils and balms.
Foundations is open to all healthcare professionals and healing practitioners – the class will be a mix of acupuncturists as well as non-acupuncturists. Those who are not acupuncturists can learn to work with the patterns using their hands, crystals, essential oils or flower essences, a Selenite Sword of Light or acupuncture seeds. When I attended Dr. Sankey’s classes in Boulder, about 25% of the class were non-acupuncturists. I have taught this class to only massage therapists and nurses before and it was still very powerful.
Advanced Class is only for those practitioners who have taken Foundations previously with any teacher.
